#program-management #program-management #professional-development # Google, Project Management Professional Certificate **Professional Certificate (IN-PROGRESS) | [Training website](https://www.coursera.org/professional-certificates/google-project-management)** I am currently working through this certificate program. Over my career I have developed strong skills **managing projects, programs, and portfolios**. This started during my time teaching university students while pursuing my doctorate. But these skills were enhanced in practicing systems thinking and learning design with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) engineers. To further add to this, I led [[IMF Project management]] efforts to create a system for designing and developing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and then I transformed [[GWU Program management]] for the design and development of online courses. Throughout these experiences and others such as at Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH), I developed deep knowledge of end-to-end project and program processes. However, I could use additional grounding in project management frameworks and business vocabulary. I decided to pursue this training to build that knowledge and vocabulary, and to learn how projects and programs are managed at a large company like Google. While I'm very comfortable directing projects, programs, and teams, there is always room to be better. And that is what I'm working toward with this certification. ## Skills Agile Project Management | Applicant Tracking Systems | Backlogs | Change Management | Continuous Improvement Process | Milestones (Project Management) | Process Improvement | Project Closure | Project Controls | Project Management | Project Management Life Cycle | Project Planning | Project Risk Management | Project Scoping | Quality Assessment | Quality Management | Requirements Analysis | Stakeholder Analysis | Team Management ## Courses The following courses are a part of this training. ### Foundations of Project Management This course lays a foundation by differentiating project, program, and portfolio, including the role and responsibilities of the project manager.
