# Instructional Design Steering: Video Post-Production Roadmap (2015)
I produced this document with a colleague who was the coordinator with the media production team. We needed to show our leadership and our course development partners what steps were involved in video post-production. In particular, we needed to show the real effort and risks.
This document focused on the process of video production and post-production. We presented 6 steps from shooting the video through producing a transcript, showed where iteration occurred, and demonstrated the cost in terms of days. Problems were well-known to my colleague and me when pre-production was absent. We used this work to highlight a need for expertise in multimedia production on our team. But for a time, this simple material helped partners know what to expect.
